Please note: These instructions are for a Xonar U3 sound card. Your sound card's exact instructions may be different. Please contact your sound card manufacturer for assistance setting up the sound card to output Dolby Digital Live
- Plug one end of the optical cable into the optical output of the sound card.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable into the port on the LS40 base station.
- Plug the base station into a USB port on the PC
- Press and hold the power button for about 3 seconds until the power LED turns on.
- Search sound in windows or right click the volume in the bottom right corner and click playback devices
- Right click on Speakers of your soundcard ->Make it your default device
- Right click Speakers LucidSound ->Make it your default communications device
- Click Recording devices
- Right click Microphone LucidSound ->Set as default device
- Open your control panel for your sound card (Xonar U3 shown here)
- Go into your audio channel scroll down ->select 8 channels
- Check the SPDIF Out box ->Make the scroll down Dolby digital live
